Sheena Britton District 1 Commissioner City of Sanford. A fourth generation Sanford native, Sheena Britton’s roots run deep in the community. Born and raised in historic downtown Sanford she has lived in the city for 42 years carrying forward a family legacy that dateback to the 1800s. She is married Tom Morris. Sheena is a proud mother of three daughters Kiya, Haley and Terry. Her oldest daughter is a graduate of HBCU Bethune Cookman University. Her middle daughter is a junior at HBCU Florida A&M University and her youngest is at Seminole State. She transitioned from being an appointed commissioner to an elected one Becoming the first elected black commissioner for district 1.
